Operation Sindoor: Amit Shah talks to LG and CM Abdullah, said- Civil security is the highest primary

Operation Sindoor: After the Pahalgam terror attack, India has destroyed the terrorist bases in Pakistan by air strike. After Operation Sindoor, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level discussion on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir amid ceasefire violations and frequent shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) on behalf of Pakistan. He spoke to the Border Security Force (BSF) Director General (DG), Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the phone. The Union Home Minister gave clear instructions on Wednesday (May 7, 2025) that the security of citizens living near the border is the top priority. He said that all citizens living near the border should be shifted immediately to the bunkers built at safe places. It is our responsibility to ensure their safety. The LoC has heavy shelling of Pakistan’s heavy shelling from Pakistan, there are reports of heavy shelling with the death of 10 citizens and injuring 50 people. The Indian Army has also targeted Pakistani posts in retaliation. Under Operation Sindoor, the Indian Air Force launched target attacks on 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK, in which more than 100 terrorists were reported to have been killed. ‘Cancels of paramilitary forces’ holidays’ The Union Home Ministry has canceled the holidays of paramilitary forces in the border areas and directed to further strengthen the security system. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also held a meeting to take stock of security preparations in the border areas and emphasized the security of citizens. The CMO said that the emphasis has been laid on the safety of citizens, strengthening the infrastructure and ensuring quick answers to any emerging challenges. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that the central government is taking strict steps against terrorism under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
