In India, it is found in Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir. In Uttarakhand, it is also known as “Kaul Padma” and it is a state flower there. This flower blooms during the monsoon between July and September and usually blooms only for 4-5 hours at night.
