Vijay Shah, who made a disputed statement on Colonel Sophia, sought permission to file new documents

The hearing in the Supreme Court on Vijay Shah’s petition has been postponed for Monday, May 19. The court postponed the hearing on behalf of his lawyer seeking permission to file some additional documents. Vijay Shah gave a controversial statement about the army’s Colonel Sophia Qureshi. For this, the High Court has ordered an FIR on them. He has reached the Supreme Court against this order.

On Friday, Vijay Shah’s petition was engaged for hearing in the bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice N. Kotishwar Singh. Senior advocate Maninder Singh, appearing for Shah, told the judges that the petition has filed on the basis of the High Court order on May 14. On May 15, the High Court has given another order. Senior advocates Kapil Sibal and Vivek Tankha were also present in the court to oppose Vijay Shah’s petition. Sibal sought permission to keep the side. The bench said that during the hearing, he will also be given an opportunity to speak.

Shah’s lawyer has sought permission from the Supreme Court to keep this order on record. In the petition filed in the Supreme Court, Vijay Shah has said that there was no need for such strict action in the case. His statement was distorted and presented incorrectly. He has also accepted his statement.
