Madras High Court judge IAS officer Anshul Mishra was so bound to be so probated by taking action under contempt and sentenced to one month imprisonment. Not only this, a fine of 25 thousand rupees has also been imposed on this officer. Mishra was the secretary of Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority i.e. CMDA. In the year 2023, the court found him guilty of deliberately not accepting the order. Mishra received two elderly petitioners, R.K. Lalitambai and K.S. Directed Vishwanathan to give compensation of Rs 25,000. Anshul Mishra is a 2004 batch IAS officer. What is the whole matter? This case is related to a re-transfer dispute of land related to a residential project in Chennai. In 2023, the court directed Mishra to implement the order in favor of the petitioners, but he did not follow the order. The court considered it contempt and took strict action against Mishra. The court said that Mishra’s act was done intentionally and was condemnable, which is disrespect of the judicial process. Angry Judge Saheb Madras High Court gave a message that no senior officer can disregard the court order. Mishra was ordered to spend time in jail and give compensation. This decision is warned for administrative officials to follow the court orders. The matter reflects the importance of legal compliance and the commitment of protecting the rights of common citizens, especially the elderly.
