The Supreme Court has issued strict orders regarding irregularities in the admission of medical post graduate course. The court has issued several guidelines to improve the counseling process of NEET PG. The most important of this is strictness on seat blocking students. The court has asked such students to make a system of black list from NEET PG exam in future. The Supreme Court has said that after blocking the seat, students who do not enroll, harm other qualified students. It is important to confirm the security deposit of such students and disqualify the examination in future. The case in which the bench of Justice JB Pardiwala and R Mahadevan has given this decision was filed by the UP government against a decision of the Allahabad High Court. The Allahabad High Court had ordered compensation of Rs 10 lakh to some students who were deprived of admission in the course of radiology in NEET PG in 2017-18. These students had told that in the first and second rounds, students who were allotted seats were also given a chance in the mop-up round. The Supreme Court has reduced the compensation amount to 1-1 lakh, but along with this, many guidelines have been issued to improve the NEET PG exam and counseling process. Some important guidelines of the court are:- * A National Counseling Calendar was formed in which there is complete details of All India quota and state rounds. In this way, seat blocking can be controlled.* Giving information about tuition fees, hostel fees etc. before counseling, the full fee should be told. The counseling process has a third party audit every year, this will identify irregularities. Also read: ‘Say to Pakistan- stop supporting terrorism’, blunt India’s Turki
