Renuka Sahane Revealed Shahrukh Khan Worked for 36 hours for Circus

Renuka Sahane on Shah Rukh Khan: Before becoming the King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan started his career with many popular shows like Fauji, Dil Darya, Second only, Circus and Idiot. In the circus directed by Aziz Mirza and Kundan Shah, he worked with many stars like Ashutosh Gowariker, Makarand Deshpande, Renuka Shahane and Sameer Khakhar. Recalling those early days, Renuka Shahane recently spoke about a precious advice given by Shahrukh. Shah Rukh Khan gave Renuka Shahane in a conversation with Advalamfare, Renuka Shahane talked about the circus show. He said that he was afraid of heights like his character Maria. He said, “My character Maria was afraid of height and I used to feel the same in real life too. Therefore, I was very scared while doing some of my scenes, especially when I was climbing trapes. We are all of the same age group and Shahrukh was not a film star at that time. However, he was already a television star. So, we used to discuss all things after pack-ups.” He further said, “I was really scared, especially because I had to shoot with Kundan. Then, Shah Rukh came to me and said, ‘Listen, you are an actor. If the director tells you that it is a well and tells you to jump, then you jump. You should not think about the fear of height and everything else. Shah Rukh Khan used to do the work of 36 hours. His attitude towards this is that I had two units of working for 36 hours. Ashutosh Govarikar also gave Renuka to Salahraka Shahane also shared a memory of Ashutosh Gowariker, in which he jokingly said that if a director asks him to jump, he should answer, ‘first, you should jump and show me’ but the professionalism that Shah Rukh was talking about, he should not think about these things. This is the director’s vision and as an actor you have to complete it. His words made me think.
