Relief from Delhi’s scorching heat: ‘Jal Envoy’ will be seen on bus stops

The daytime temperature in the capital has reached close to 41 degrees Celsius, due to which it is difficult to get out of the roads. In such a situation, the risk of diseases related to heat stroke, dehydration and other heat is also increasing rapidly. To deal with this challenge, the Delhi government has taken a new initiative – ‘Jal Envoy Scheme’. The Delhi government will now deploy ‘water messenger’ at every third bus stop with the aim of giving relief from ‘water messenger’ deployed at every third bus stop. These water messengers will provide free water to the passengers who are waiting for the bus. These steps will be especially brought relief for those people who stand in the open, strong sunlight and wait for buses. A total of 1525 bus stops will be on the Sevadilly government, according to the plan, this facility will be provided at about 1525 bus stops in the capital. These water messengers will have a large container to store water, so that they will make the passengers clean and cold water. This service will be completely free. Water coolers will be installed in 25 places – With the beginning of the pilot project, the government has made another effort to relieve heat. As a pilot project, water coolers will be installed at 25 public places in Delhi. The tendering process has been started for this. Later it will be expanded to more places. 25 bus depots will also be provided with water arrangements, not only the bus stops, but also at 25 major bus depots of Delhi, proper drinking water is being made for the staff. Health and Transport Minister Dr. Pankaj Singh said that people will get some relief from the water messenger scheme, along with this, the government is also starting the work of improving DTC bus stands so that people will continue to get shadow to avoid sunlight in bus stands.
