Pakistan’s misinformation machinery is once again in the headlines. This time India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval has been targeted through a fake Facebook post. In this post, it was falsely claimed that Doval has warned of cyber attack coming from Pakistan. It has been told that the message has been shared from a Facebook account with the name and photo of Doval, in which it was written that the coward country is now preparing for a cyber attack secretly. Avoid clicking on messages coming from unknown number or picking up the phone and share this information with everyone. Cooperate, alert everyone. Be aware Doval does not have a Facebook account, however, this post has been found to be completely fake in the fact-check made by the Press Information Bureau (PIB). PIB clarified that NSA Ajit Doval has no official Facebook account. PIB Fact Check said in a statement on X that this Facebook account is fake. The National Security Advisor has no official Facebook account. Citizens are advised to beware of any fake or fake profile that claims their names. What PIB said in the fact check? PIB also urged the citizens to rely only on verified government sources for information about national security or other sensitive issues.
