He was to receive the prestigious Khel Ratna Award on Thursday. His father also had to participate in this ceremony but he died before. His father was a retired physical education teacher. A source close to the family said, “It is very sad and unfortunate that Satwik’s father died this morning.” This 24 -year -old player from Amlapuram will leave for his home in Andhra Pradesh.
