This is the tenth time when his petition has been dismissed. He is accused of scam of about Rs 13,000 crore associated with Punjab National Bank (PNB), which is counted in the largest bank fraud cases. The court refused to grant bail, saying that there is a possibility of his absconding and tampering of evidence. India is constantly trying for its extradition. Nirav Modi had applied at the High Court of Justice Kings Bench Division of London. The Crown Prosiction Service strongly opposed Nirav Modi’s bail on behalf of the British government. He presented a proof before the court shared by the CBI, after which the judge rejected Nirav Modi’s bail petition. After the arguments of the Bandi in jail since 2019, the court found that there is a possibility of Nirav Modi’s absconding or tampering of evidence. Therefore, he cannot be granted bail. Nirav had filed a bail plea for the 10th time, which was dismissed due to a strong lobbying of CBI and Crown Prosiction Service. Nirav has been in a UK jail since March 2019. Sarkarinirav Modi has been declared wanted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in India in the case of fraud of Rs 6,498.20 crore by the Central Bureau of Investigation (PNB) in India. He has to face trial under economic crimes in India. Nirav Modi has already allowed the UK High Court to extradite India.
