New Delhi. In many parts of Delhi, the problem of water with heat has also started raising heads. But this time the BJP government, led by CM Rekha Gupta, has decided to take a big step. Now the supply of water in every assembly constituency will be decided on the basis of the population there. This announcement was made by Water Minister Parvesh Verma, which recently came out after a shocking report by Delhi Jal Board (DJB). Shocking figures on water sharing: Delhi Jal Board survey revealed that there are some areas in Delhi where people are craving water, while some areas are being supplied more water than necessary. For example: • The population of 5 lakhs in Karaval Nagar is getting 4.7 million gallons of water daily, ie only 42.73 liters per person. • Burari, which has a population of about 9 lakhs, is getting 12.5 MGD water – ie 63.14 liters per person. • Kirari is getting 8.5 MGD water, while its population is 6.6 lakhs – 58.55 liters per person. • Changed, area with a population of 5.5 lakhs, 6.5 MGD i.e. 53.73 liters per capita water is getting water. On the other hand, water sharing in low -populated areas is much more generous: • Rohini (population of 2.75 lakhs) is being given 13.73 MGD water every day – ie 227.3 liters per person. • Matia Mahal (2.58 lakh) is getting 216.73 liters, • Chandni Chowk (2.10 lakh) is getting 214.31 liters, • and Rajendra Nagar (2.4 lakh) is getting 200.78 liters per person per person per person. Government claims: Now water politics will not work. He said, “Now the water sharing will be completely on the basis of population. No political pressure will work.” The command centers of the Delhi Jal Board have been instructed to send water directly from the treatment plant to the underground reservoirs and the distribution system should be improved on the basis of population. The need is more and the total water requirement in the supply Kamdili is about 1290 MGD, which increases further in summer. Currently, water is being produced only from 990 to 1000 MGD in the capital.
