Under this change, Sarit Maheshwari has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company and the chief managerial officer. This appointment has come into effect since 10 May 2025. Sarit Maheshwari has replaced Rajiv Gupta, who has now joined the native company of NTPC. NTPC Green Energy Limited has given information about this change to stock exchanges through a regulatory filing. BTech is a MBA’s degree -physical field with more than three decades of experience with an experienced energy professional, who has an industrial experience of over 35 years. He has a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University. According to LinkedIn Profile, after this, he has done a post graduate degree in Power Generation Technology from IIT Delhi and MBA from IGNOU. Safarit Maheshwari started her professional journey from Dadri Gas Power Station in NTPC, where she worked for about 9 years as a gas turbine engineer. During this time he gained deep experience in technical functions like manufacturing, operation and maintenance of gas turbines. After this, he worked in the upstream oil and gas industry for about 10 years. There he played several responsibilities such as preparing contracts, management of oil and gas blocks, participation in joint projects and leadership of drilling projects. Before becoming many leadership roles, Sarit Maheshwari has been the head of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited and NTPC Rajasthan Green Energy Ltd. It is noteworthy that NTPC is a joint venture between Rajasthan Green Energy, NGEL and Rajasthan State Electricity Production Corporation Limited in ratio of 74:26.
