In the national capital, doctors have advised people not to panic with the cases of Kovid-19 associated with JN.1 form and said that this form is not serious and mild symptoms have been revealed in most patients. Health officials of the Delhi government said that in the national capital, recently all 23 patients of Kovid-19 have seen only mild symptoms and are in Quarantine at home. 22 of them are recovering at home and no one needed to be hospitalized. After the recently released government consultation, many hospitals in the city have started preparations by arranging additional beds in oxygen cylinders, antibiotics, other essential medicines, bippes (bilevel positive airway pressure) machines, vaccines, ventilaters and separatist wards under precautionary measures. However, no new case has been revealed yet. Dr. Dhruv Chauhan, National Spokesperson of the Indian Medical Association Junior Doctors Network (IMA JDN) said that people do not need to panic with JN.1 form, which has arisen from the changes in Omikron BA 2.86 and which is the major Kovid-19 form in India. Dr. Chauhan said, “This is not a fatal nature. It is always better to keep the hands clean and wear masks in hospital or crowded places, to follow cleanliness in sneezing among people. It is also important to get the symptoms tested by a doctor.” He said, “People should remember that nervousness and dislocation can cause more health problems than disease.” Internal medical expert Dr. Nihal Singh said, “We should understand that JN.1 is spreading, but in most cases it has not indicated to cause serious illness.” Sir Ganga Ram Hospital doctor Avararal Mathur said, “This form is very contagious, although the symptoms are mostly mild. Still, prevention is most important. We urge people to wear masks in crowded or closed places, keep hands clean and avoid unnecessary travel when they are unhealthy. Make sure you have taken all doses of vaccine including booster doses.” In view of the cases of infection, the Delhi government on Friday issued consultation to all hospitals to be ready for the availability of beds, oxygen, medicines and vaccines.
