Sattu’s syrup is the traditional health drink of Bihar, Jharkhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh, which nowadays health experts also recommend drinking in summer. Sattu is made from gram (gram porridge) and contains plenty of fiber, iron, magnesium and most important protein. A glass (syrup made of about 30 grams of sattu) can give you about 8 to 10 grams of protein, which is quite good for office time. If you make it by mixing lemon, salt and roasted cumin, then it is also very beneficial for the stomach. It removes constipation, keeps hunger under control and calms the body heat.
On the other hand, curd lassi is also a great drink in summer, which you can easily pack in small thermos or bottles for the office. Lassi not only keeps digestion correct but it also cools the body. It is probiotic, that is, it contains good bacteria which improve stomach health. A glass of sweet or salty lassi contains about 5 to 7 grams of protein and if you make it with fresh yogurt of the house, then it increases further. Drinking lassi does not cause lack of water in the body, reduces fatigue and energy remains while working throughout the day. In this, you can increase both taste and cool by adding mint, black salt, cumin powder or rose water.
