During a conversation with Local 18, Pandit Lalit Mohan Sharma’s Assistant Professor Dinesh Rawat of the campus of the campus said that Kilmora is a shrubby plant, whose height can be about 1 to 3 meters. Its leaves are pointed and the edges are right. In the spring, yellow flowers bloom in it and then have small purple or dark blue fruits, which are sour-sweet in taste. This plant may look simple to see, but every part of it is rich in root, stem, leaves and fruits.

The root and stem of Kilmora are considered highly useful in Ayurvedic medicine. Extracts extracted from its roots are used in the treatment of fever, jaundice, diarrhea, and liver related diseases. It is rich in anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Its stem is also famous by the name ‘Darwhaldi’, from which medicines made are considered useful in eye diseases, skin diseases, and digestive problems.

Kilmoda leaves are also very useful. Grind them and apply on the skin provides relief in itching, eczema, and wounds. In traditional herbal treatment, they are used to heal boils and wounds quickly.
