According to the report published in the Human Reproduction Journal, researchers have concluded this after studying more than 7,500 children. This study has been conducted under the Growing Up Today study. The study found that girls who used to take nutrition -rich and healthy food in childhood, their menstruation started after normal. That is, used to come late in time. Researchers used two special diet index of food and drink to find out this among the girls involved in the study. For this, an alternative healthy iting index was divided into Ahei and Empervor Diaty Inflammation Pattern EDIP. In the first index i.e. Ahei, more marks were given to girls who ate healthy things like green vegetables, whole grains, pulses, while girls who got less marks ate with red meat, junk food and more salt. In the EDIP index, foods that increase inflammation in the body, such as red and processed meats, sugar -filled drinks and refined grains.
Healthy diet has a good effect on his whole life
The study found that among the girls whose Ahei score was the highest, menstruation came much later than time, while those whose EDIP score was high came ahead of the period.
Professor Holi Harris, the author of the study, said that BMI and height were not included in this result. Only food was measured in this and it was ascertained the time of menstruation. He also told that the risk of many serious diseases increases in life after the early beginning of menstruation. Therefore, it is very important to provide healthy food to children and adolescents. For this, there is a need to pay attention to healthy food and drink, especially from schools. Healthy diet not only improves weight and height, but it also improves health even in adolescence.
Professor Harris said that a healthy diet should include fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, pulses and fish containing omega-3. Along with this, the quantity of red and processed meats, sugar -rich drinks, refined flour and salt should be reduced. These habits are beneficial for everyone in any stage of age. This study also indicates that adopting healthy food in adolescence has a positive effect not only for that time but also on life -long health. More research is needed on this subject so that these findings can be confirmed in various population groups.
