There have been 2 cases in Rajasthan, one in Sikkim, 56 in Maharashtra, 95 in Kerala, one in West Bengal, 16 in Karnataka, 10 in Puducherry and 66 in Tamil Nadu. Two people have also died. The Andhra Pradesh government also released the advisory Andhra Pradesh Health Department has asked citizens to avoid collective functions, whether it is prayer meetings, parties, programs or social functions. People have also been asked to follow the covid protocol in public places like bus stops, railway stations and airports. Passengers who have gone to countries where there are more cases of Kovid, have also been asked to conduct an inquiry. In many states of the country, the health department of Jharkhand has been alerted after some cases related to Kovid’s new variant JN-1. State Health Minister Irfan Ansari said that he has discussed this issue with top officials of the department. He said that there has been neither a case related to it in the state nor there is any apprehension about it, but despite this, instructions have been given to monitor public places including airport, railway station, bus stand in the state. According to the government, the situation in India is fully controlled.
