On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Chardham Yatra is starting from today. For the next 6 months, pilgrims will be able to visit Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. In fact, Chardham Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in the world. All the sacred places of the four Dham Yatra are dedicated to various deities. Kedarnath Dham is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Badrinath Dham is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Gangotri Dham is dedicated to Mata Ganga and Yamunotri is dedicated to Yamuna. The closet of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open today, on this auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, the closet of Gangotri Dham will open at 10:30 am and the Kapat of Yamunotri Dham will open at 11:50 am. The Kedarnath Dham will open at 7am on Friday, May 2, 2025, for the Kadnath Dham devotees. In addition, the closet of Badrinath Dham will open on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Haridwar Railway Station is the nearest railway station in these sacred places. Haridwar is connected by road and rail network with Delhi and other major cities. State transport and private buses are available for these sacred pilgrimages. 2. Helicopter service is available from Dehradun to Chardham. There is a helicopter service from Dehradun to Kharsali, which is about 6 km from the Yamunotri Temple. It’s far away. Harsil helipad is the nearest helipad of the Gangotri temple, 25 km from the temple. It lies away. The helipad of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham is also near the temple. Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. The temple, located at an altitude of 3,584 meters, is surrounded by the Himalayas. According to the beliefs, this temple was originally built by Pandavas and later rebuilt by Adi Shankaracharya. Badrinath- The last journey is Badrinath Dham, who is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It has a black stone statue of Badrinarayan 1.5 meters high and is of the Vedic age.
