Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Monday visited the strategically important Suratgarh military station and Nalia Airbase to boost the morale of the armed forces. During this, he interacted with the soldiers and emphasized the importance of operational readiness and flexibility in view of emerging security challenges. This is probably the first time after ‘Operation Sindoor’ that the CDS itself has arrived to meet the soldiers. He appreciated the operational preparations and high morale of the soldiers and expressed confidence in their ability to effectively respond to future dangers. CDS Anil Chauhan was accompanied by Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander South Western Command and Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command. He also appreciated the exemplary courage of the soldiers during Operation Sindoor. He was made aware of the latest and strong air defense systems used in the operation. General Chauhan also held a strategic discussion with senior military commanders during this period. General Chauhan appreciated the extraordinary valor and ability of the soldiers during the active phase of the operation. Highlighting the dedication, strong courage and firm commitment of Indian soldiers in neutralizing several attempts by the enemy by the enemy, he said that these soldiers maintain the highest standards of professionalism. The CDS emphasized the need to always be ready to respond to any challenge with full capacity. During its address, the CDS praised the inter-service coordination.
