Method of making cheese from torn milk:
Material:
Torn milk (whatever is available)
A muslin/cotton cloth (to filter)
A heavy bottom pan
A heavy object (to press, such as water filled)
Method of preparation:
1. Boil milk (if not boiled before):
If the milk is torn but it is cold, then boil it once again so that the entire milk gets torn well.
2. If the milk is not completely torn:
Add a little lemon juice or vinegar to it and stir slowly. The milk will completely burst and water (buttermilk) will be separated.
3. filtration:
Place a cotton cloth or muslin cloth on top of a vessel and put all the torn milk on it so that buttermilk comes out and the part of the cheese remains in the cloth.
4. Washing (optional):
If you had added lemon or vinegar, then you can wash the cheese with light cold water so that the sourness is reduced.
5. Press:
Tie the cloth tightly and press it for 30-60 minutes with something heavy (eg water filled), so that the cheese freezes.
6. Ready:
